TRAK has invested great efforts to innovate new families of high and low power isolators and circulators. Externally it is easy to see why TRAK devices stand out from the competition.

Internally the differences are just as innovative; high power devices feature composite adiabatic technology designed for optimum thermal handling without compromising the careful electro/magnetic balance required to achieve leading performance while optimum isolation performance and reverse power handling is achieved by using a suite of high power resistive elements which utilise film technologies. All designs are vented with the position of the vents optimised as a result of careful analysis and design proving tests.

The Dundee site has been been producing coaxial isolators and circulators for over 40 years. Throughout the decades our products have evolved, improving with each generation. This process continues where today, our products are simply the best we have ever produced although we are working to make them even better. All common radar and communication bands are included in a portfolio that includes low and high power devices.

In the image opposite the isolator features an extended barrelled SMA male, standard barrelled SMA female and a 50 Ohm 10W termination. The isolator is made from stainless steel, operates at ~1GHz and is ~ 25 X 25 X 10 mm in size.

In the past 20 years these have all been replaced by TRAK’s stainless steel bodied types. These compact and robust alternatives have continued to evolve to the point that today the threaded connector style has been superseded by the superior solid body/connector design. Available operating from 1 to 26 GHz these devices feature connectors commensurate with the applied RF power and application. TRAK offers SMA, SMP, and TNC types in both male and female orientations. The images in the gallery below illustrate a few of these types.

The low power devices in the table below are our latest series and replace the venerable TRAK style thread to body connectors. All designs now feature patented internal grounding structures that offer a unique ultra-stable performance in a range of body sizes for operation from 1.0 to 26 GHz.
