TRAK Microwave’s product design process is directed towards delivering products specifically optimised for users’ applications and operating environments.
The design process involves close co-operation with the intended users from inception to completion. Once the design phase is completed new products are then routinely subjected to stringent qualification testing. This is undertaken to ensure the product will operate reliably, with margin to spare, within the intended application and beyond its intended operating envelope and intended life.
TRAK employs a highly experienced team of microwave & mechanical designers whose ability and knowledge of the markets and applications in which the products operate ensures that design objectives are always achieved. Although self-contained, our local design team has close links with and works in close cooperation with colleagues in Florida RF/ EMC Technology and other Smiths Microwave Business Units.
TRAK uses a combination of proprietary and 3rd party design and analysis software:
- Microwave design using HFSS©.
- Magnetic simulation using MAXWELL©.
- Thermal, static and dynamic simulation using COSMOS©.
- Mechanical design is undertaken using SOLIDWORKS©.
