TRAK has secured substantial new orders for the supply of space qualified high power isolators. The new SSPA high power isolators are a mixture of high and very high power L-Band isolators that will be used in the output stages of phase matched Solid State Power Amplifiers [SSPAs] destined to be launched as part of a space based Global Navigation Satellite System [GNSS].
TRAK has substantial experience in the design and supply of these types of device and has supplied almost 20,000 high power isolators and circulators in L, S & C bands which have been used for Transmitter, SSPA and TRm applications.
The first substantial program TRAK was involved with was INMARSAT IV with stripline isolators supplied to Astrium. Many programs have followed including GLOBALSTAR II, SIASGE, LOUTCH, GALILEO IOV, ALPHASAT iXL, GAGAN, EXPRESS series and most recently the circulators used in the IRIDIUM NEXT TR modules.
