TRAK has expanded its investment in test equipment with the commissioning of a Rohde & Swartz ZVA67 VNA capable of measuring to 67 GHz with the ability to expand this to 110 GHz if required using frequency extenders. This investment has been made to support the development of products operating to 55 GHz for receiver applications and was rewarded when recently TRAK reached a major milestone with the completion of the basic design of a low loss isolator operating over the 47 to 53 GHz. The designs goals have been met with margin to spare with the initial devices measuring lower than 0.15 dB and with port return losses better than 23dB. TRAK expects to deliver the first customer deliverable devices in late 2014.
