This week TRAK successfully completed the qualification of a high power K-band isolator operating at 25GHz. The device has successfully passed TVAC testing at 140W forward at a baseplate of +75C and at 70W into a short circuit at a baseplate temperature of +85C while the thermal data gathered from test validated TRAK’s predictions following detailed FEA during the design phase.
The WR34 products, developed for the Ka Band Telemetry Transponder equipment destined to be used on ESA’s MeteoSat 3rd Generation program, will be supplied to Thales Alenia Space join an increasing portfolio of high power waveguide devices ranging from 8 to 34 GHz.
